Cleaning a Bean Bag Chair

When washing your bean bag chair, things can become complicated. Fortunately, there are proper ways to deal with a soiled bean bag.

Bean bag chairs actually have an outer liner that encloses the sack holding the polystyrene beads. Unzip the outer liner and remove it from the bean bag chair. Next, soak the outer liner in warm water and spot stains on the fabric. When removing the stains, do not rub the fabric with detergent. This might only spread the stain throughout the fabric. Instead, using a damp cloth, spray cleaner on it and dab at the stains. Remember not to spray directly on the outer liner. Once you have removed the stain, rinse the outer liner.

As for dirt that has clung on the outer liner, scrub it using a toothbrush and a soapy water solution. To create the solution, fill a glass with water and add two drops of soap. Dip the brush into the mixture and scrub gently at the stains. Then, to clean the fabric thoroughly, throw it into the washing machine. Once it has been cleaned by the washer, rinse it with fabric softener so that it will smell fresh and clean. Once it is dry, put it back on the bean bag chair.

If your bean bag chair has a vinyl cover, use a damp cloth to wipe off spills and spots right away after they happen. You should use a soft cloth and warm water. Follow these tips so that you can wallow in the comfort and cleanliness of your bean bag chair once again.
